V-Day Prague International Voice 2012 in collaboration with Prague Film & Theater Center, present a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s "The Vagina Monologues," in Czech and English, raising funds for a local charity, ROSA (www.rosa-os.cz), which supports female victims of domestic violence and their children and works towards preventing abuse.

All profits from the event and your generous support on Fondomat will go directly to our local beneficiary, ROSA and the official V-Day Spotlight Campaign for Women & Girls of Haiti. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

What is a V-Day Campaign?
A V-Day Campaign is a catalyst for mobilizing women and men to heighten awareness about violence against women and girls. By creating this global community, V-Day strives to empower women to find their collective voices and demand an end to the violence that affects one in three women in the U.S and around the world. www.vday.org

About our beneficiary ROSA:
ROSA is a Czech non-profit and nongovernmental organization specializing in providing help to women, victims of domestic violence. It was established in 1993. The main goal of our activities is to make the issue of domestic violence more visible, to help the victims and improve the system of domestic violence victim´s support in the Czech Republic. For this purpose we cooperate with nongovernmental and governmental institutions in the Czech republic and abroad. ROSA runs several projects, Information and counseling centre ROSA,telephone hot line, Shelter with secret address,Internet counseling. More information can be found at

About Prague Film & Theater Center:
Prague Film & Theater Center aims to support and sustain the needs of all those who work or are interested in participating in the film and theater community in Prague. PFTC provides like-minded people with an avenue for the exchange of information as well as a hub for artists to connect and further develop their crafts in their respective fields. The goal is to realize projects, bring creative people together, and assist in the shared growth of Prague's theater and film industry.

The event itself will include the projection of original photographs taken by local talented female photographers, compiled specifically for the event in response to the monologues.

WHERE:
The Iron Curtain (formerly Propaganda Bar), Michalská 12, Praha 1

WHEN: Saturday 14th April. Performances at 14:00hrs and 18:00hrs
Admission: 150kč.

GOAL: To make it known that violence against women and girls in the Czech Republic is unacceptable and raise funds for our domestic beneficiary and for the women and girls of Haiti
